Original owner Sid Stevens first opened our retail home furniture store’s doors in 1985. After some time working with frustrated customers who were unable to bring home the items they needed, Sid believed there had to be a better way for these hardworking people to have access to high-quality products. This belief sparked the success our store has maintained to this day.

Sid aimed to offer a small-town buying experience everyone could be a part of: one that would satisfy himself and all his clients. He started to stock quality home furnishings, appliances and electronics for every area of the home and provide in-store financing with no credit checks. His goal was to provide an opportunity for the community to furnish their homes, along with unmatched customer service.

Thirty-three years later, almost 100% of our customers have achieved ownership of their purchases, and Stevens Furniture & Appliances now includes third-generation family members.
